Nokia smartphone surfaces, looks like a toned-down Nokia 6

Price: Rs 19,999
HMD Global has been in the limelight since it has acquired Nokia. After multiple leaks about the upcoming Nokia smartphones, it recently launched Nokia 6 during the CES 2017, and has received an amazing response till now. It’s obvious that Nokia is planning for a major comeback in the market by bringing some new products this year. We can possibly witness multiple smartphone announcements from Nokia at the MWC next month.

Looking at a recent benchmark run of a leaked Nokia prototype on GFXbench, we can certainly add one more to the list of upcoming Nokia devices. According to GFXbench, the leaked specifications belong to smartphone code named Nokia Heart. It has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor used in Nokia 6 with minor changes to other specifications.

Nokia Heart sports a 5.2inch HD (720p) display. On the camera front, it will have either a 12MP or a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calling and selfies. It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat), which is also seen on Nokia 6. The image also shows 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, out of which only 9GB is available at user end.

If we consider the on-paper specifications, the smartphone targets the lower-tier segment. One can expect it to be priced lower than the Nokia 6. There is no official word about the smartphone yet, so you might see some changes in the final device and the availability may be limited.

Other than smartphones, Nokia is again in headlines after there are rumours about the upcoming Nokia tablet. The speculated Nokia-branded tablet will sport a huge 18.4inch 2K display with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM. With just a month left for MWC 2017, all we can do is wait and watch what HMD Global has in store for Nokia fans.
