OnePlus 3T in Midnight Black now on sale in India

OnePlus 3T 64GB: Rs 29,999
OnePlus 3T 128GB: Rs  34,999
The Midnight Black version of the OnePlus 3T is finally up for grabs in India. The handset was up on pre-order last week, which meant that you could reserve a unit for yourself for when the big day arrives, which is today. The OnePlus 3T in Midnight Black has gone up for sale starting 2PM on amazon.in , OnePlusStore.in as well as the OnePlus Experience Store in Bengaluru. So if you happen to live in the city, you can walk down to the store and check out the handset before you make up your mind.
It’s important to note that OnePlus is not charging a premium for this particular model and you will be shelling out the same amount as the regular 128GB variant of the handset. The company has mentioned that it has been working on this model for quite some time, but couldn’t get it ready in time for the initial launch of the smartphone. OnePlus recently launched the Black Colette version of the OnePlus 3T, which was truly limited as only 250 units were produced and sold globally. It will be interesting to see if the Midnight Black version is somewhat similar, but considering that the company has taken pre-orders for the device, one would hope that more than 250 units will be up for grabs. But we are mindful of the fact that OnePlus calls this the limited edition variant, so one can never know when it might go out of stock.

ZTE Blade A2 Plus vs ASUS Zenfone 3S Max: What you have to prefer ?

ZTE Balde A2 Plus: Rs 11,999
ASUS Zenfone 3S Max: Rs 12,999

Chinese mobile device maker ZTE has unveiled their latest mid-range smartphone Blade A2 Plus in India. 5000mAh battery being the major selling point, the device also supports reverse charging. Asus Zenfone 3s Max, scheduled to be launched soon, comes with the similar configuration found on Blade A2 Plus.

Recently, a lot of smartphone makers are coming up with devices with huge batteries. ZTE itself launched Nubia N1 back in December 2016 which also has a 5000mAh battery. To have a better option, there is Lenovo’s P2 that comes at a slightly higher price with 5100mAh battery.

We have compared the Asus Zenfone 3s Max with ZTE Blade 2 Plus to find out which one is a better buy. Both the devices are fresh in the market and sport a 5000mAh battery.

Performance and storage
The Blade A2 Plus is powered by the 1.55 GHz, Octa Core, MediaTek MT6750T processor paired with 4GB of RAM and the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. Similarly, the Zenfone 3S Max is also powered by a 1.5 GHz, Octa Core, MediaTek MT6750 processor with Mali-T860MP2 GPU, but has only 3GB of RAM.

In terms of performance, both the devices look very similar on paper. The only advantage Blade A2 Plus has is 4GB of RAM over 3GB on Zenfone 3S Max. We are still using the Zenfone 3S Max and the smartphone performs decently in most of the cases. Based on the limited experience with the Blade A2 Plus, we expect it to offer somewhat similar performance to 3S Max.

With 4GB of RAM, Blade A2 Plus may offer a better multitasking experience.
On the storage front, both the devices offer 32GB of internal storage. Having a hybrid SIM slot, the smartphones support microSD card but Zenfone 3S supports up to 256GB of cards whereas the Blade A2 Plus supports only 128GB.

Display
ZTE Blade A2 Plus sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display and the Zenfone 3S Max comes with a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720p) display. The Blade A2 Plus also has the additional 2.5D curved glass on top.

There is no doubt that the display on Blade A2 Plus looks finer and is better for multimedia usage. But if you need a handier phone that has a decent display, then Zenfone 3S Plus can do a fair job.

Camera
On the camera front, both the phones have a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP on rear. Looking at the camera samples, it was clear that there is not much of a difference between the two cameras. Although the pictures on Blade A2 Plus looked slightly better, which could be because of the full HD display.

Front camera photos from the Zenfone 3s Max were much better than what we saw on the Blade A2 Plus during the short encounter.

Connectivity
On the connectivity front, both devices support 4G LTE, GPRS, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB for data transfer and charging.

Battery
Both the smartphones offer a huge 5000mAh battery capacity, and that is the reason why we are comparing both the smartphones.

We have tested the battery backup on Zenfone 3S Max but not on the Blade A2 Plus. Looking at the overall package, we can surely say that Zenfone 3S Max will last a bit longer than the A2 Plus. The reason we say this is because Asus Zenfone 3S has a smaller display, with lower resolution and the ZenUI does a good job when it comes to battery optimization.

Which one to buy?
In terms of performance, both the smartphones have a tough fight between them but there are areas where the two can differ. Asus Zenfone 3S Max has a much sleeker and handier form factor compared to ZTE Blade A2 Plus, making it better for one handed usage. For multimedia, the Blade A2 Plus takes the lead with a bigger and sharper display.

Camera on both the phones are similar but in terms of overall performance Zenfone 3S Max is ahead of the other by a narrow margin. Other than this, Asus has a better brand reliability and value compared to ZTE so if you care about after-sale, then Zenfone 3S Max should be the choice.

We will update this comparison once the price for Asus Zenfone 3S Max is out.

The Snapdragon 625 is the first 600 series processor from Qualcomm that comes with 14nm FinFet technology. This translates to the Redmi Note 4 having 14nm transistors as compared to 28nm in the Redmi Note 3 which leads to better power management and efficiency. Xiaomi claims that the 14nm transistors help the Redmi Note 4 have as much as as a 25% increase in battery life as compared to the Redmi Note 3.

Additionally, the Note 4 comes with 2/3/4GB of RAM and the Adreno 506 GPU.

During the launch event, Xiaomi also announced the rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat preview which will be available soon for Mi fans.

Cameras
On the imaging front, the Redmi Note 4 features a 13MP BSI CMOS rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and phase detection auto-focus. The rear camera lens is sourced from Samsung and Sony and has a 25% larger pixel area as compared to the Redmi Note 3.

On the front, there is a 5MP sensor with a wide angle lens that Xiaomi claims has a field of view of 85 degrees.

Dimensions
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 weighs a hefty 175 grams and has dimensions of 151x76.8x8.35mm.

Battery
The device is powered by a mammoth 4,100mAh battery. Going by the impressive battery performance of its predecessor, the battery should easily last a day of moderate to intensive use.

Other Features
The device also comes with an infrared sensor and a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device, right below the rear camera. What is interesting to note is the fact that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was Xiaomi's first device to come with a fingerprint sensor.
